Growing up I loved to draw. My first dream was to be an artist. As I got a little older I decided I wanted to be a police officer instead, catching bad guys. During my early teenage years I wanted to be a professional athlete. I played football up to the Junior level, even had some interest from Guelph university, but my grades weren't high enough and I was severely undersized. So when the NFL didn't pan out, I shifted my focus and started writing. I enjoyed it so much I took a fulltime 2-year college writing program. During that same time I was working as a fulltime manager at a Kitchen and Bath store. It's there I met a flashy smooth talking realtor. A self proclaimed big shot from out in Hawkesbury. He was building a waterfront home and needed products for 3 bathrooms. I went the whole nine yards, and even hand delivered a replacement toilet after a mishap. He came back to the store a few weeks later to praise my service and offer me a place on his real estate team. Real estate was not on my radar until that point. Growing up we never owned a home, but moved around a lot. So much so that I had been to 7 different schools. I saw real estate signs all the time but didn't know much about the industry. I did some research and decided to enroll to the Ontario real estate college.

I continued to work at the store, and started doing different writing gigs while studying for my two college programs. I wrote for Football Canada following Ottawa’s high school teams and their standout stars. I wrote several articles for The Sportster and had some go viral. I was a ghost writer for a large, local ecommerce platform, and I was writing for television as well as managing social media feeds for a handful of celebrities. In 2014 I graduated from both college programs and started my real estate journey. In 2015 I married my high school sweetheart and we purchased our first home. We had our first child in 2017 and two more over the next few years. During the pandemic I took some time to go back to school and complete the courses required for a Broker license, attaining it in 2021. Once I was Broker I was able to open my own independent Brokerage, which I did in 2022; Chartier Property Group Inc.

Experience

Since 2014 I’ve completed sales in new build construction, vacant lots, rentals, investment properties, consultations, and of course resale. I have personally recorded well over $50,000,000.00 in sales volume from referrals alone. I have a communications degree, with hands-on experience in home renovations, property management, landscaping, and staging.

Hobbies

I love spending time with my family and chances are good that’s what you’ll find me doing. I also enjoy reading in my spare time. I still write, mostly blogs and notes. I draw and dabble in graphic design for fun. I run often and race a few times a year. I love hockey, I still play ice, ball, and even virtually but mostly pickup games these days. Once in a while you might find me on the golf course, a concert, or taking in a Sens or RedBlacks game.
